			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This evening was an amazing <a href="http://yogahousestudio.com">Kundalini class at Yoga House Studio</a>, especially after not having been to a class in a week.</p>
<p>Two amazing insights came during class this evening, one was when we were doing a shoulder shrugging kriya and I began to feel wings shrugging and folding and unfolding behind me and began to move into the state and feeling of an angel.  As I began to enter into this state I began to understand how I have stood before on the edges of the eternal expanse of the universe and felt uncomfortable there &#8211; possessing a fear that I would become bored and return to the distracted state of daily consciousness in which we normally live.  As we continued with the class I began to feel that Angels practice Kundalini yoga so they can enter into that expanse with purpose, dedication, and power.</p>
<p>At the end of class we did a meditation sitting crossed legged with our hands in lotus pose barely audibly chanting Wahe Guru.  It was so soft and the meeting of the tongue on the roof of the mouth just so that it sounded like water dripping in a cave.  This sound began to trigger a feeling that I was in a cave, and after some time I began to see an ascetic in that cave walking about.  I wondered what it must be like for this ascetic to devote so much time in this cave to meditation and entering into that divine expanse.  As we continued to chant I wondered what it sounded like for this ascetic to chant this and then I immediately began to hear him chant.</p>
<p>What happened next was a truly amazing personal insight.  I realized that I was this ascetic in a previous life.  It gave so much affirmation to my deep knowing that I had at least once lived that live.  And then I began to become one with him and experience the timeless connection that exists at the higher level of consciousness.  He was me and I was him, both in our own times, but both fully knowing each other.  I admired him for he had many of the same characteristics I do now but much deeper and refined and somber and with the power that came from his life and devotions.</p>
<p>I am logging this experience because I know that it&#8217;s power will fade in time from my consciousness.  However, I do pray and I do know that especially with the power of Kundalini yoga this is not the last time transcending experience I will have with my own inner Guru that has existed through all time.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I returned to my mat this morning after taking the last few days to rest and recover from a nasty stomach virus that spread through the family.  I had full intentions to do my normal Iyengar salutation and triangle series and then move on to my morning Kundalini set, but as I got into each pose, I found myself slowing down.  I found my breath slowing down.</p>
<p>By the time I had completed the last of the triangle set I found myself in Tadasana just breathing.  Studying Kundalini has taught me a lot about how to channel energy and breath up from the base of the spine into the higher chakras, and as I stood there in the pose taking long deep breaths I began to appreciate the depth of breath that can be experienced in Tadasana.  I never moved on to my Kundalini set or meditation, but I was content.  A great peace and insight came while I began to more deeply explore this simple, yet profound pose.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have recently not been as good about tracking my yoga practice on this blog, but I wanted to briefly reflect on a few great classes at Yoga House this month:</p>
<ol>
<li>Third Eye Kriya &#8211; a class that focused on awaking the third eye and the pituitary gland.</li>
<li>Chakra Awakening &#8211; I really liked this class, we had one or two exercises for each chakra, starting with the root and then working up and out.  Great set!</li>
<li>The Splits Class &#8211; this was a tough class because almost every exercise involved sitting in the splits, which is a position in which I have very little flexibility.</li>
</ol>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This morning I started with a few Iyengar style salutations before moving into my Kundalini practice.  It started with some ego eradicator and another arms above the head kriya to clean the electromagnetic field.  Then I moved on to some spinal flex and then for about 7 minutes I did an exercise that involved moving my torso in circles while moving my hands in prayer pose in the opposite direction.  I did this while chanting along to Sita Ram from Krishna Das&#8217; Live on Earth album.</p>
<p>I continued with some double leg lifts, stretch pose, and then breath of fire with legs at 60%.  After that I did Sat Kriya for 3 minutes followed by 7 minutes of Savasana and 11 minutes of meditating on divine, golden, healing light.  This meditation was inspired by a new book I got for Christmas about Reiki and and the healing powers of Christ, which I read for a bit after the meditation.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Today I had two sessions of yoga, one in the morning and one before bed.</p>
<p>The morning yoga started with a foot massage, as many of my morning sessions are starting with.  I&#8217;m finding that as more feeling returns to my leg I am also getting more cramps.  I often wake in the morning feeling like a foot massage will help things start flowing properly.  From there I did my normal Kundalini warm-up routine followed by savasana and some basic sitting meditation for 11 minutes.</p>
<p>The evening yoga involved lots of breath of fire.  I practiced it lying down for a while, then did a few sets of ego eradicator followed by the cooling breath with a curled tongue, then some more breath of fire, followed by savasana into sleep.</p>
<p>Dream wise, I had a dream that I was in an inner city church that just did not feel right.  I went to two services there during my dream and left during the second one.  Not sure about the meaning of the dream, but have a feeling some clarity will come about it during the day.  The previous night I had a dream about visiting a temple in China I remember visiting once before in a dream a long time ago.  That dream felt much better.</p>

<p>Since it was also full moon today, we closed with a circle meditation where we take turns chanting and responding to Wahe Guru.  Love that one, and it was a very powerful healing circle.  When I left class I could tell my body was still sick and full of phlegm, but I felt great.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I came down with a pretty terrible cold yesterday and didn&#8217;t have the energy or desire to bring myself to the mat.  Today, however, while still feeling week, I felt I had energy I needed to burn off to help my body stay strong.</p>
<p>I started off with a <a href="http://www.pinklotus.org/-%20KY%20meditation%20to%20heal%20all%20sickness.htm">meditation I remember Yogi Bhajan teaching to heal sickness</a>.  It turns out I was doing the meditation wrong, and had my hands hugging my shoulders instead of cupped in front of the chest, but the intention must have been there because I feel it helped!</p>
<p>Later I did some self message, relaxation poses, and pranayams on my back before going into a long, restful sleep.</p>
